Highway 1 set to close overnight at Rocky Creek north of Big Sur

The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) has announced that Highway 1 will be closed overnight at Rocky Creek, north of Big Sur, beginning Monday, July 17. The closures will take place between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. each night and are expected to continue through November.
The closures are necessary to allow Caltrans crews to perform emergency repairs to the roadway. Motorists should expect delays of up to 20 minutes while the work is underway.
