Lewis Hamilton disqualified from Brazil F1 qualifying
Mercedes pair to start sprint race from back of grid
Hamilton stripped of P1 for technical infringement
Seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton has been disqualified from qualifying for the Formula 1 Brazil Grand Prix after scrutineers revealed a technical infringement on his Mercedes car.
The Briton had set the fastest lap in qualifying on Friday, but his car was later found to have violated a rule relating to the rear wing.
As a result, Hamilton and his Mercedes teammate, Valtteri Bottas, will both start the sprint race from the back of the grid.
The disqualification is a major blow to Hamilton's hopes of winning a record-breaking eighth world championship.
The sprint race will take place on Saturday, with the main race scheduled for Sunday.
