Zach Arnett: Mississippi State Football Coach

Early Life and Career

Zachary Arnett was born on September 10, 1986, in Houston, Texas. He attended Texas A&M University, where he played football as a linebacker from 2005 to 2009. After graduating, Arnett began his coaching career as a graduate assistant at the University of Arkansas.

Coaching Career

In 2014, Arnett joined the coaching staff at Mississippi State University as a defensive analyst. He was later promoted to defensive coordinator in 2018. During his tenure with the Bulldogs, Arnett helped lead the team to three bowl games, including two victories in the Outback Bowl.

In 2023, Arnett was named the head football coach at Mississippi State following the tragic death of Mike Leach. However, after just one season, Arnett was fired due to the team's poor performance.

Arnett is currently an analyst at the University of Mississippi.
