Colorado Avalanche Advance to Stanley Cup Final After 6-5 Overtime Win in Game 4

Oilers' McDavid, Kane Lead Edmonton to Playoffs in Game 3

DENVER, Colo. - The Colorado Avalanche have punched their ticket to the Stanley Cup Final, defeating the Edmonton Oilers 6-5 in overtime in Game 4 of the Western Conference Final on Monday night. The Avalanche won the series 4-0.

Artturi Lehkonen scored 11:19 into overtime to lift the Avalanche to victory. Andrew Cogliano, Josh Manson, Mikko Rantanen, Cale Makar, and Nathan MacKinnon also scored for Colorado. Connor McDavid and Evander Kane each had two goals for the Oilers, while Zach Hyman added another.

The Oilers had a chance to take the lead in the third period, but McDavid's shot hit the post. The Avalanche then took advantage of a power play to tie the game with just over two minutes remaining.

In Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Final, the Edmonton Oilers clinched a berth in the Stanley Cup Playoffs with a 4-2 win over the Colorado Avalanche. McDavid and Kane each scored twice for the Oilers, while Darcy Kuemper made 34 saves.

The Oilers will face off against the Avalanche in Game 4 of the Western Conference Final on Saturday night at Rogers Place in Edmonton.
